Bug's out of hibernation!
Bug's News - Mar2006
Looks like the bug is out from hibernation!!!
My apologies for the long silence- I realise that my last update was end of year 2005
Yes, I survived "HongKong's winter", the long awaited one as throughout my whole life, I spent in sunny, humid places-Mauritius, Singapore, Kona-Hawaii. It was at times challenging especially when most flats in Hong Kong does not have central heater. At times, I have to go into my winter sleeping bag - really cold..brrrrr
We can see changes in the weather now-
The school where I teach is located in an old British colonial building and with the weather changing from winter to spring( I am not sure whether is it already summer?) "walls are crying", the floor is wet as if someone has just mopped the floor. Humidity is rising up to above 90 at times!
Teaching @ SWCK
Since the beginning of 2006, life was on the fast lane! Between NewYear break and Chinese NewYear break, school life was really, I mean really busy..what more after Chinese NewYear--phew.
As I shared with some of you, my partner and I had to make changes with the class and indeed at the beginning of the year, we put into action the changes in our class- the children and us(the teachers) took it well.
On a praiseworthy notes:
My co-teacher and I are thankful to God for the things HE is doing
1- I am finally registered as a teacher in HongKong
2- I mention that we would receive the visit of teachers from another school, well we had two visits from two different schools. They heard of the project and were interested in the work our school was implementing. So far we heard positive comments, we are encouraged by that.
3-Two of our targeted students were accepted in a primary school- it is a relief, especially for the parents.
Once again
thanks for your support, interest and prayer
