"Tentmaking" in HongKong!

Kung Hei Fat Choy!

It is simply saying 'Happy and Prosperous New Year'. Yes, this is the time for Lunar New Year celebration around Asia!
As I sat in front of my laptop, I am just amazed and excited of HIS handiwork in my life while being here in HongKong!

I am now towards the end of my week long break from school, and I am so thankful towards HIM.
I also want to take this opportunity to bring some updates!

Teaching @ SWCK..

That's the main reason of my being here in HongKong!..The pilot project class that was started in Aug 2005 is well on its..3rd year.
This 3rd batch of students is so precious to me. We are actually half way through the school year.
As I look back, I realised that my partner and I have gone a long way in setting up the class. We did go through that stage of forming, storming and now it seems to have reached the 'norming' stage.
We are still making a few more changes in order for us as teachers to be more effective in reaching out to the students.

It has been a good learning experience for the past 2 and half years and yes, this has affirmed my passion to work with children and also those who have some specific needs.

I was contemplating whether it was time to move on as the class has become more stable. As I sought HIM and waited upon HIM, I understood that I have to trust that He will release and move me in HIS timing…

Sunday School Teaching

The class has grown twice which is exciting but the sad part is that now is the time to hand it over back to the church. I have been volunteering in setting this Sunday school class for the 3-5years old in this local English-speaking church. So while I attend an International church, I will go to the Sunday school and be a coordinator for this class. It was rewarding watching those little ones growing, receiving the teaching and also working alongside wonderful people.

Coming mid-March, I will step down and hand the ministry over to the church members.

I trust HIM that HE will show me new areas to serve and bless!

Finally, I am excited and thrilled how God is leading me in new things. Besides teaching, discipleship is another area of serving that God has placed on my heart, and coming this month, I will be leading a small group for the upcoming discipleship course in my church! I am looking forward to serving young women in this course. WILL YOU PLEASE PRAY FOR ME- WISDOM & STRENGTH FOR THE NEXT 3 MONTHS.
